These are days when few people seem satisfied. Everyone seems to be searching for something--for riches, power, health, adventure, fame, peace, conquests, or escaping. Shamefully, even few Christians seem to realize that the permanent fulfillment or redirection of such desires can only be found in the Lord, the One who created them and designed them to operate in a particular, satisfying way. Come back often as we are adding new resources often.
The Bible says, “You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). I have written this web site to help you taste those words as sweet instead of bitter or boring.
You are in one of two groups: Either you are a Christian, or God is now calling you to be one. You would not have read this article if God were not at work in your life.
If you are a Christian, you are not your own. Christ has bought you at the price of his own death. You now belong doubly to God: He made you, and he bought you. That means your life is not your own. It is God’s. Therefore, the Bible says, “Glorify God in your body.” God made you for this. He bought you for this. This is the meaning of your life.
If you are not yet a Christian, that is what Jesus Christ offers: doubly belonging to God, and being able to do what you were made for. That may not sound exciting. Glorifying God may mean nothing to you. That’s why I created this web site http://www.biblesnet.com for Non Christians and Christians. For someone that is not a Christian we have many pages for those searching for God's Truth. We recommend these pages Know God click here and Searching for More in Life here.
Now I see that millions of people waste their lives because they think these paths are two and not one. There is a warning. Jesus said, “Whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.” In other words, it is better to lose your life than to waste it.
If you live gladly to make others glad in God, your life will be hard, your risks will be high, and your joy will be full. This is not a book about how to avoid a wounded life, but how to avoid a wasted life.
Please know that I am praying for you, whether you are a student dreaming something radical for your life, or whether you are retired and hoping not to waste the final years.
That is my prayer.
For now, I thank God for you. My joy grows with every soul that seeks the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Remember, you have one life. That’s all. You were made for God. Don’t waste it. Yours in Christ, Brian Read / Apply / Pray / Do
And now, dear reader, if you have never received the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are outside of the blessed salvation which Jesus purchased for us with His Blood. You are cut off from God because of your sins, and you are lost, on your way to eternity in the Lake Of Fire, as noted in Revelation 20:12-15.
But you can change that fact! The Scripture says: "Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." See Romans 10:13. Romans 10:9 tells us exactly HOW to be saved. It states: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth, the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Simply DO what it says! Say with your mouth, "Jesus Christ IS my Lord. In my heart I DO believe that God has raised Him from the dead. Now, Lord Jesus, I open my heart to you, come into my heart, my Lord". And then thank God for saving you. By His grace, through your faith, you ARE NOW saved if you were sincere and believed when you prayed the above prayer. Praise God.
Forsake your sins, and begin to follow the Lord Jesus as your Savior. Tell others about Him, and invite them also to do what you have just done. Read your Bible every day. Pray to God, and thank Him, and trust in Him. Find a good, Bible believing Church, where they teach the Word of God, and will help you to come to know the Lord Jesus Christ better, and how to follow Him according to His Word. God bless you. The scriptures are perfect, but men are fallible. I prayerfully check all of the material I put on my sites. However, I am quite capable of missing something or making a mistake. If you find anything at all on these pages that is questionable or find any links broken please contact us here.
